What to do right now
Before you do anything else, work out which of these you are dealing with.
The gate is closing on cars or people
Stop using it. A safety device has failed and the gate can cause serious injury. Leave it in a safe position, disable automatic operation if you can, and call. This is the one fault where waiting is genuinely dangerous.
Sparking, burning smell, or smoke
Kill power at the breaker first. Do not operate the gate and do not open the housing. Then call — it is almost always repairable once the circuit is safely isolated.
You are blocked in or out
Almost every operator has a manual release, usually a keyed lever or pull handle on the housing. Call and we will talk you through it for your unit. Do not force the gate against an engaged drive.
The gate is stuck open
We treat this as urgent regardless of the cause, because an open gate is an open property. If you can close it by hand using the manual release, do — then call.

Emergency gate repair questions
Can I get my gate open myself while I wait?
Usually yes. Almost every operator has a manual release — typically a key-operated lever or a pull handle on the housing. Call us and we will talk you through it for your specific unit before the technician arrives.
Do you actually answer at night?
Yes. Emergency gate failures do not keep business hours, and a gate stuck open overnight is exactly when the call matters most.
My gate is stuck open. Is that urgent even if nothing is broken?
We treat it as urgent. An open gate is an open property, and that is the situation people most often call us about at unsociable hours.
What counts as an emergency?
A gate stuck open, a gate trapping vehicles or people, a gate closing on obstructions, visible electrical faults, impact damage, and any commercial entrance failure during operating hours. If you are unsure, call — we would rather tell you it can wait until tomorrow than have you sit on something that cannot.
Will an after-hours call cost more?
Ask when you call and we will tell you plainly before anyone is dispatched, not after the work is done.
Still stuck? Stop reading and call.
Someone answers. Every time.
